We are also stoked to bring you music courtesy of Winnipeg’s own Gavin “DJ Action Rick” Kalansky for our June 25th opening. DJ Action Rick has has been playing at local spots around the city for a couple of years. Most of the influences are hip hop related whether it be A Tribe Called Quest, Wu-Tang Clan, Arrested Development, Souls of Mischief, or Eric B and Rakim. So, without a doubt you can expect to hear such artists wherever he is spinning. Recently he has branched out to other genres of music including funk, electro, disco, reggae, or whatever keeps the party going. He has played at various spots throughout Winnipeg including Noir, Hifi, Blush, Pyramid, Dylan O’Conners, Komenda Skatepark, and The Albert and soon to be playing a party near you!
